Xiaomi officially announced the Xiaomi 14 Ultra for the global market at MWC 2024, three days after the device was launched in China. The device is apart of the Xiaomi 14 series which includes the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro that were launched a few months ago. The Xiaomi 14 Ultra comes with top-of-the-line specifications that justify it’s Ultra moniker and it is directly competing with flagships from Apple and Samsung on the global market. Xiaomi 14 Ultra specifications:

The device is made up of glass and has a big circular camera module on the rear side housing a quad camera setup along with a dual-tone LED flashlight. On the front, there is a 6.73-inch QHD+ OLED display panel with LTPO technology. The display has an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate that can go down to 1Hz and go up to max 120Hz depending on the content on the display. It also supports HDR10+, 1920Hz PWM dimming, Dolby vision and a maximum brightness of 3000 nits. This makes it one of the brightest displays on the market right now. The front is protected by ceramic glass to prevent the display from scratches.

Under the hood, is the latest and greatest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset manufactured on 4nm fabrication and it is paired with Adreno 750 GPU. You will get 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 internal storage. The device is available in only one storage configuration and there is no support for the Micro SD card for storage expansion. Powering up the device is a 5,000 mAh battery with 90W wired fast charging, 80W wireless fast charging and 10W reverse wireless charging support. It runs on HyperOS on top of Android 14 out of the box.

On the rear side is a quad camera setup headlined by a 50MP Sony LYT-900 sensor with f/1.63-f/4.0 aperture, Hyper optical image stabilization, and a Leica Summilux lens. There is also a 50MP ultra-wide sensor with autofocus that can capture macro shots as well. The other two cameras are a 50MP periscope lens with 3.2x optical zoom and a 50MP periscope lens with 5x optical zoom. For selfies and video calls, there is a 32MP front camera housed in a centered punch-hole cutout at the top of the display.

On international markets, the device is available in either white or black colors and it is priced at € 1,499.90 / £ 1,299.00. if you look at the price then this is an expensive device and is directly competing with the flagships of Apple and Samsung in terms of pricing and specifications.
