Asus Zenfone 10 Unveiled With 5.9″ Display and SD 8 Gen 2 Chip

After several leaks and rumours, Asus finally unveiled it’s Zenfone 10 with a much more compact size and a slightly refreshed spec sheet. The company added a new colour to the bunch, alongside support for wireless charging.

Asus is also selling suitable accessories with the Zenfone 10, with it’s launch date in Q3 this year. Here are all the essential specifications it’s got to help you make a wise decision for your next smartphone purchase.

Asus Zenfone 10 Specifications

Asus, the pioneer OEM in PC and networking equipment, is holding it’s ground strong in the smartphone business too. The Taiwanese company has just launched it’s flagship handset – Zenfone 10, at a competitive rate.

While all the smartphone OEMs are grossing 6.5″ on an average display size, Asus keeps it’s new Zenfone 10 at a 5.9″ 1080p × 2400p OLED display, breaking the industry trend. Though it doesn’t suit well with the 120Hz refresh rate and 1,100 nits of peak brightness, it’s still unique and has fans.

Protected by Gorilla Glass Victus, Asus says this handset weighs just 172g. This makes the phone even more interesting, as one of the lightest phones, Pixel 7a, weighs 193g, the average weight in the industry. With a fingerprint sensor on the side power button, Asus offers a customizable shortcut button, all being IP68 water-resistant.

The Zenfone 10 has a dual rear setup led by a 50MP(f/1.9) primary lens, which is updated with the 2nd Gen 6-Axis Hybrid Gimbal Stabilization, and a 12MP(f/2.2) ultrawide lens with a 120-degree FOV. Upfront, there’s a 32MP(f/2.5) lens for selfies.

Though the secondary and front cameras lost autofocus capabilities compared to their predecessor, Asus says it improved the night mode in the combined setup. Under the hood, it’s got a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor with Adreno 740 GPU, up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage.

With a headphone jack intact, the new handset has a 4,300mAh battery capacity with 30W wired fast charging speeds. Asus has also added a 15W wireless charging this time, thus more ways to power up. Further, the company added a new colour to this flagship; Aurora Green, alongside Starry Blue, Midnight Black, Eclipse Red and Comet White.

Finally, about pricing, Asus is selling the new Zenfone 10 for €799 in Europe, which is the same as last year’s price of the Zenfone 9. This means the Company may keep the US pricing at $599 too, but that’s highly unlikely. The company has not announced it’s US pricing but will bring the handset in Q3 this year.
