BreachForums Admin Released Under 20-Year Supervision Order

Nearly a year after the arrest, BreachForums admin Conor Brian Fitzpatrick was sentenced to 20 years of supervised release, by a US court.

Under the release conditions, Fitzpatrick will be housed for two years, with a GPS tracker and receive mental health treatment. And during his first year, he’ll be prevented from using the internet and let a probation officer install monitoring software on his PC.

Supervision For 20 Years

On the counts of hosting and facilitating the sharing of sensitive data, Conor Brian Fitzpatrick, going by the name of Pompompurin on BreachForums, was arrested in March 2023.

Upon pleading guilty to 1 count of Conspiracy to Commit Access Device Fraud, two counts of Solicitation for Offering Access and three counts of Possession of Child Pornography, Fitzpatrick has now been released by the Eastern District of Virginia on a 20-year supervised sentence.

In his sentence memorandum shared this week, the US government sought 188 months of imprisonment for Fitzpatrick, but later transformed it into 20 years of supervised release. In this pursuit, Fitzpatrick will be home-arrested for the first two years, with a GPS locator and receive mental health treatment.

And during his first year, he’ll be prevented from accessing the internet and allow the probation officer to install monitoring software on his computer. Furthermore, he’s prevented from selling or offering to “sell any item on the internet for another person or entity without pre-approval and authorization from the court or probation officer”.

And finally, the courts ordered Fitzpatrick to pay restitution for victims’ losses, with the amount to be determined later.
