The renders of the Google Pixel 8a have surfaced online and it resembles the Pixel 8. Last week, Google introduced it’s flagship Google Pixel 8 series. This week, the affordable Google Pixel 8a leaked online, revealing the complete design of the device. While we were already aware of the upcoming release of the Pixel 8a, it is surprising that the design details of the device leaked online just days after the Pixel 8 series announcement.

Most of the device’s specifications are still under wraps as the device is slated to hit the market next year. However, thanks to a reputable tipster, we now have a comprehensive 3D rendering of the device and it appears to adopt the design language of it’s elder siblings.

The Google Pixel 8a closely resembles it’s elder siblings, with a few differences visible in the leaked image. Notably, the Google Pixel 8a features more rounded corners than the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro and is smaller than the other two devices, which is quite evident.

On the rear side, the camera bar remains the same, but a sensor appears to be missing from the camera bar. Nonetheless, the Google Pixel 8a will sport a dual rear camera system akin to the Pixel 8. The precise details of the dual camera system are unknown at the moment but we anticipate it will utilize the same camera sensor as the recently unveiled Pixel 8. A single camera sensor is housed on the front within a centrally located punch-hole cutout.

The device boasts dimensions of 152.1 x 72.6 x 8.9mm and it features a 6.1-inch Full HD+ display panel with a 90Hz refresh rate and a punch-hole cutout at the top center of the screen. Additionally, this device is expected to incorporate an under-display fingerprint scanner, a noteworthy feature given the competitive landscape and price range.

Like the previous Pixel “a” series, the Google Pixel 8a is expected to share the same chipset as it’s elder siblings. In this case, the device will be powered by Google’s in-house Tensor G3 chipset paired with a Mali-G715 GPU. Consequently, users can anticipate performance on par with the Pixel 8 series, the device’s selling point. The device will offer a minimum of 8GB of RAM and 128 or 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. Running on Android 14, this device aligns with Google’s commitment to provide seven years of Android OS and security updates, a promise that sets it apart from other Android OEMs. Currently, Google is the only Android device manufacturer offering this extended level of support for it’s Pixel devices. The device is anticipated to be priced around $400, the baseline for budget devices in today’s market.

Most specifications remain undisclosed and we will continue to share further details with our readers as they emerge or are leaked. It is important to note that the information presented in this article is based on leaks and renders and the company has not yet confirmed any details. Stay tuned with us for additional official information once it becomes available.
