Google Play Games for PC has added many new features and expands the geographic availability with it’s latest update, making it more helpful for PC users.
The beta version of Google Play Games for PC has added 60 new regions in the Asia Pacific, Europe and Latin America, taking the total count to 120 regions. Further, it now allows keyboard remapping for select games and updates the hardware requirements to support more devices.
Play Games for PC New Features
Observing how deeply the PC community is relying on third-party Android emulators, Google last year came up with a refined Play Games app for PC on Windows that will let the PC and Chromebook users play Android games seamlessly.
While it’s a needed addition, Google hasn’t cared much about the software since it’s launch, as it’s still in beta mode! Well, the latest update brings the app into the limelight once again, as it adds new features, geographic availability and new hardware support.
First up is the availability, where Google adds 60 more regions to the list where it’s Play Games for PC is now available. This makes the total available regions 120 while bringing popular titles like Garena Free Fire MAX to new markets.
Promising to make such shooter games available in more regions, Google also added support for keyboard remapping for specific titles. This allows gamers to set up custom critical bindings for specific in-game actions as on a regular PC game.
And lastly, Google brings the Play Games for PC beta to underpowered PCs, with the latest update adding more supported hardware for the app. This allows more players to get on, besides being able to play on Chromebooks now.
