Honor 90 GT Launched with a Dual Camera System, 100w Charging

Honor announced it’s Honor 90 GT in China today. The smartphone comes with top-of-the-line specifications and is much more affordable than other smartphones with these specifications. The key specifications include a SONY IMX dual rear camera system, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and 100 W fast wired charging. Check out the detailed specifications below.

Honor 90 GT specifications:

The design of the device is similar to it’s predecessor. A rectangular camera module houses the dual camera system, a LED flashlight and a sensor on the rear side. Honor states that the camera module on the rear side is inspired by an “Engine”. Three options are available – blue, fuel speed gold, and star obsidian black. Blue looks beautiful as two vertical lines go from the camera module to the bottom. Honor branding is between these two vertical lines on the blue color variant. The device is 7.9 mm thick and weighs 185 grams.

The device has a 6.7-inch full HD+ OLED display on the front with a sharp resolution of 2664 x 1200 pixels. There is a fast 120Hz refresh rate and 3,840Hz PWM dimming rate. The display has top-notch eye protection technology with 360-degree adaptive dimming technology and a class-leading blue light control system. A punch hole cutout at the top center of the display houses a 16MP selfie shooter for selfies and video calls.

Under the hood is Qualcomm’s latest and greatest chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, manufactured on 4nm fabrication. The chipset is paired with an Adreno 740 GPU, up to 24GB of LPDDR5x RAM, and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 internal storage. It runs on MagicOS 7.2 on top of Android 13 out of the box.

For cameras, there is a dual camera system consisting of a 50MP IMX800 primary sensor with optical image stabilization and a 12MP ultra-wide sensor along with an LED flashlight.

Honor 90 GT has a massive 5000 mAh battery cell that supports 100W fast wired charging. Other specifications include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner that doubles as a power button, 5G, 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, and a USB Type C port.

Pricing:

The Honor 90 GT is currently available for sale in China only, and there is no confirmation or news about the global availability yet. As far as the pricing is concerned, the base variant with 12GB RAM + 256GB storage is priced at CNY2599, which is roughly $366, the 16GB + 256GB variant is priced at CNY 2,899, which is roughly $406, 12GB + 512GB variant is priced at CNY 3,199, which is roughly $450. The higher-end 24GB + 1TB storage variant is priced at CNY 3,699, roughly $520.
