Pre-Requirements:

To ensure a smooth rooting process, please complete the following pre-requisites:

  1. Charge your BLU Mobile device to at least 60% battery level to avoid any interruptions during the rooting process.
  2. Create a full backup of your device to safeguard your data. You can use various backup methods like Google Backup or third-party apps to securely store your data.
  3. Prepare a PC or laptop with a USB cable for device connection.

Now, let’s proceed with the download links:

  1. Download the ADB and Fastboot tool for your Windows or MAC system. Install the tool following the provided instructions. You can find the download link here.
  2. Next, download the Android USB Drivers and install them on your PC. This step ensures proper device recognition and connection. You can download the USB Drivers from here.
  3. Download the latest BLU Mobile Stock ROM specific to your device model. Extract the Boot Image file from the downloaded ROM. If you have a Mediatek device, you can follow the instructions here to extract the boot image using the MTK Droid Tool. For Spreadtrum devices, follow the instructions here to extract the boot image using the Spreadtrum Flash tool.
  4. Finally, download and install the SP Flash Tool for Mediatek devices and the SPD Flash Tool for Spreadtrum Unisoc devices on your computer. You can find the SP Flash Tool download link here and the SPD Flash Tool download link here.

Please note that rooting your device may void its warranty, and you may not receive official OTA updates after rooting. Proceed with caution and at your own risk.

Steps to Extract and Patch Boot.Image using Magisk

Now that you have completed the pre-requisites and downloaded the necessary tools, follow these steps to extract and patch the boot image using Magisk:

  1. Extract the downloaded Stock ROM on your PC.
  2. Connect your BLU Mobile device to your PC using a USB cable. Copy the boot.img file from the extracted folder and paste it into your device’s internal storage.
  3. Open the Magisk Manager app on your BLU Mobile device and select the “Install” option.
  4. Choose the boot image file you copied in the previous step.
  5. Tap on “Patch Boot Image File” and wait for a few seconds while Magisk patches the boot image.
  6. Once the boot image is patched, copy the “patched_boot.img” file from your device’s internal storage and replace it in the same extracted ROM folder on your PC.

Now, let’s proceed to the next step to install the patched boot image on your BLU Mobile device.

Steps to Install the Patched Boot Image on any BLU Mobile Device

You have two options to install the patched boot image on your BLU Mobile device: using the ADB & Fastboot method or the SP Flash Tool for Mediatek devices and the SPD Flash Tool for Spreadtrum Unisoc devices.

Using ADB & Fastboot Method:

  2. Move the patched boot image file to the same folder where you extracted the ADB & Fastboot tool.
  3. Press and hold the Shift key on your keyboard and right-click anywhere in the folder to open the Command Window.
  4. Type the following command in the Command Prompt and hit enter:
fastboot flash boot patched_boot.img

For devices with an A/B partition system, use the following commands:

fastboot flash boot_a patched_boot.imgfastboot flash boot_b patched_boot.img

Replace “patched_boot.img” with the actual name of the boot image file you downloaded.

  1. The flashing process will begin. Wait for a few seconds to complete the process.
  2. Finally, type the following command and press enter:
fastboot reboot
