Nothing Phone 2a Gets an Official Launch Date in the US

Nothing affixed an official launch date of it’s upcoming budget smartphone – Phone 2a as Match 5, 2024, in the US.

Like Phone 1, Nothing brings the Phone 2a as a part of a “developer program” with mid-range specifications and possibly fewer LED stripes to keep up with the low price. More details on the handset are expected to roll out at the MWC event later this month.

Nothing Phone 2a Launch Date

After months of rumours, Nothing finally came up with an official launch date for it’s Phone 2a – coming out on March 5, 2024. The budget smartphone could be a stripped-down variant of it’s Phone 2, possessing several high-end specifications.

While the company didn’t specify any details of Phone 2a, it claims to be launching it as a part of a “developer program” in the US, similar to it’s Phone 1 in the “Beta Membership” program. While there are no pricing and availability details, Phone 2a could still come with the transparent Gorilla Glass back, 11 LED “Glyph” strips, and a metal frame with curved edges.

Nothing’s teaser video of Phone 2a shows the handset sporting dual rear cameras centred at the top, supporting the design leaks. Earlier rumours also suggested the phone to come at around €400($430), as it’s going down on many hardware components.

The teaser video also showed how the company questioned making a “cheaper” phone, with one possibility being, bettering it’s supplier connections to pass on the savings to consumers. As we are eager to learn more details, Nothing schedules a press conference at the upcoming MWC event in Barcelona on February 27th, where it may share the complete tech sheet.
