OnePlus 12R

Along with the OnePlus 12, the company launched the OnePlus 12R on the global market at a much more affordable price than the OnePlus 12. The device has been leaked for quite some time and it was previously launched in China as the OnePlus Ace 3. OnePlus 12R comes with great specifications but at an affordable cost. If you want a great phone with flagship-grade specs then you can consider this device which comes at under $500. Check out the detailed specifications of the device below.

OnePlus 12R Specifications:

The device looks quite similar to it’s elder sibling with a circular camera island on the rear side that houses a triple rear camera setup and an LED flashlight. The rear panel is made up of glass, and aluminium side rails and there is a Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection on the front. On the front, the device has a 6.78-inch AMOLED LTPO display panel with a 120Hz fast refresh rate. This is the same display panel found on the OnePlus 12 but the only difference is in the pixel resolution. It is one of the brightest displays on the market as it can go up to 4500 mAh peak brightness under direct sunlight. There is a punch-hole cutout at the top center of the display for the selfie camera and an under-display optical fingerprint scanner for security.

Under the hood is last year’s Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 256GB UFS 4.0 internal storage. The internal specifications are almost similar to last year’s OnePlus 11 but the price of this device is much lower than the OnePlus 11. It is powered by a 5000 mAh battery cell with 100W fast wired charging support and no wireless charging. One good thing is that there is a 100W fast charger included in the box. It runs on OxygenOS 14 on top of Android 14 out of the box.

For optics, there is a triple rear camera setup consisting of a Sony IMX890 50MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture and optical image stabilization, an 8MP ultrawide sensor and a 2MP macro sensor. On the front, there is a 16MP camera for taking selfies and video calls.

Other specifications include an IP64 rating for splash protection, IR Blaster, Bluetooth v5.3, Wi-Fi 7, stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos, spatial audio, an Alert slider and a USB Type C port.

Pricing:

The device starts at $500 for the base 8GB + 128GB storage variant while the higher-end 16GB + 256GB storage variant is priced at $600 and is available in a few select international markets.
