Riding on the popularity of it’s regular ChatGPT, OpenAI has now made an enterprise version of this offering with customised pricing.

This version includes access to GPT-4 LLM with no limits, twice the performance and API credits. Watching it’s usage and reception, OpenAI also plans to launch a business version of ChatGPT aimed at small businesses.

ChatGPT Enterprise Edition

Initially launched in November 2022, ChatGPT has revolutionised many sectors, especially the business fields. The platform’s success is so immense that tech giants like Google, Microsoft and Alibaba have made their own ChatGPT clones, while others embedded some form of AI features into their services.

Now, cashing on it’s success, OpenAI has introduced an enterprise version of ChatGPT, catering to their unique needs. Launching it on Monday, the company said the tool has been in development for under a year and involved help from more than 20 companies of varying sizes and industries.

The ChatGPT Enterprise has no usage caps and performs up to two times faster than previous versions and API credits. The company hasn’t mentioned the pricing, though, with it’s COO Brad Lightcap saying, “It will depend, for us, on every company’s use cases and size”.

Yet, the unique tool has it’s initial customers already, with the beta version already being used by Block, Canva and Estée Lauder. ChatGPT’s consumer version is being used by over 80% of Fortune 500 companies, so it’s evident that OpenAI makes something more dedicated for them.

Well, a critical difference between the consumer and enterprise versions of ChatGPT is that the customers(enterprises) can input their business data to train and customise ChatGPT for their own needs. However, some of those features aren’t yet available in Monday’s debut.

OpenAI assures that they don’t train their tool using provided business data or conversations and the chats with ChatGPT are encrypted both at transit and at rest. Well, the company, however, says that it uses the aggregate data on how the tool is used, including performance metadata and more, as usual.

Observing it’s reception, the company plans to introduce a ChatGPT business version for small businesses.
