Pixel 8 Leak Shows How Easy it is to Transfer Data From Your Old Phone

Just a couple of days ahead of the official launch, a new Pixel 8 teaser video leaked showed just how easy it is to transfer data from your phone.

Shared by a tipster, the video teaser says users can transfer all their apps, contacts, messages and media in a snap to a new Pixel phone. This process even includes data from social media apps, removing most of the hassle.

Google, through most of it’s products, always try to make our lives easier, be it UI, accessibility or others. But, a person switching Android phones has always had the pain of transferring data securely. The regular process includes saving or backing up your data to a cloud service or offline devices and restoring them on your new device accordingly.

As it involves a lot of human effort, most OEMs have embedded their features to make it easier and Google’s native smartphone, The Pixel handsets, is doing it’s part to lure in users. In a latest video teaser leak, Google showcased how easy it is to transfer data from your old phone to new Pixel handsets.

The video mentions transferring your apps, contacts, text messages, music, photos and videos to Pixel phones. Though the video didn’t explicitly say the phone is the Pixel 8 Series, it’s evident that Google is talking about new phones based on their design.

The video also touts of transferring data from your iMessage, luring Apple users to try the upcoming Pixel smartphones. While it’s always an easy task to transfer data between Android phones, Google offers a Quick Switch option to make it even easier. By connecting both your phones with an adapter, you can transfer data from your old phone to a Pixel much faster and easier.
