Realme has unveiled it’s latest mid-range smartphone devices in India with the Realme 12 Pro and 12 Pro+ launch. These devices feature mid-tier chipsets, a triple rear camera system and a robust 5000 mAh battery. They are the successors of last year’s Realme 11 Pro and 11 Pro+ and will go head-to-head with the recently released Xiaomi Redmi 13 Pro and 13 Pro+. Below are the detailed specifications of the Realme 12 and 12 Pro+.

Realme 12 and 12 Pro+ Specifications:

At first glance, both devices appear identical, with most of the changes made under the hood. A big circular camera module at the center of the rear side houses a triple rear camera setup and an LED flashlight. The front boasts a 6.7-inch Full HD+ curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz fast refresh rate on both devices. This display panel supports a 360Hz touch sampling rate, 100% DCI-P3 color space, 2160Hz PWM dimming and a peak brightness of up to 950 nits under direct sunlight. A centered punch hole cut out at the top accommodates the selfie camera. Both devices run on Realme UI 5.0 on top Android 14 out of the box and include custom software features, such as a flash capsule, a standard dock for saving images to be shared later and the ability to copy objects from images to the clipboard. Realme has committed to providing three years of major Android OS updates.

Under the hood, both devices are equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon chipsets. The Realme 12 Pro features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset, while the 12 Pro+ features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset. Both chipsets are manufactured with 4nm fabrication, but they have a performance difference. The Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset outperforms the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 by 10-15%. The 12 Pro+ offers up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage, while the 12 Pro features 8GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage.

For optics, both devices feature a triple rear camera system. The Realme 12 Pro+ boasts a 50 MP Sony IMX 980 primary sensor with optical and electronic image stabilization, a 64 MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and an 8 MP ultra-wide sensor. On the other hand, the Realme 12 Pro comes with a 50 MP Sony IMX 882 primary sensor with optical image stabilization, a 32 MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom and an 8 MP ultra-wide lens. The 12 Pro has a 16 MP selfie shooter, while the 12 Pro+ features a 32 MP selfie shooter.

Both devices are powered by a 5000 mAh battery with 67W fast wired charging. This marks a downgrade in charging speed compared to their predecessors, which supported 100W wired fast charging.

Additional specifications include a USB 2.0 Type-C port, Bluetooth v5.3, Wi-Fi 6, 5G and 4G support, IP65 water resistance, a 3.5mm audio jack and stereo speakers.
