T-Mobile is Shutting Down SyncUP PETS Service

T-Mobile is shutting down it’s SyncUP PETS service on November 10, 2023, as the company delisted it from it’s website while the support pages are still live.

There’s nothing to do from the customer side, as T-Mobile said it’ll automatically cancel the service on the said date and let customers keep the devices. Pet owners should migrate for alternatives like Apple’s AirTag or Tile for tracking their pets.

Shutdown of T-Mobile SyncUP PETS

SyncUP PETS, one of the many offerings that T-Mobile offers in the US, is shutting down on November 10th, 2023. Launched in early 2020, SyncUP PETS lets pet owners track their pets through their phones and connect via T-Mobile’s network.

This differs slightly from other tracking devices like Apple’s AirTag or Tile, which can also track other goods. T-Mobile’s SyncUP PETS is dedicated to tracking pets, storing any documents relating to them, reminding of pet meals and even and tracking veterinary appointments.

While useful, the service is now missing from T-Mobile’s listings, but it’s support pages are still online. Anyhow, T-Mobile confirmed that SyncUP PETS is shutting down, and there’s nothing that customers have to do. The carrier will automatically cancel the subscription, billing and let customers keep the SyncUP PETS devices!

Further, the company will notify them via text message of the service being shut down. So, with SyncUP PETS shutting down, customers should go for other pet tracking devices or general trackers like AirTag, Tile, Chipolo, Samsung’s SmartTag, etc.
