Ubisoft has revamped it’s Ubisoft+ Multi-Access and PC Access to form a new, single plan called the Ubisoft+ Premium, costing $18 a month.

The company has also launched a special tier for PC enthusiasts called the Ubisoft+ Classics, costing $8 a month. Ubisoft is also preparing to add games from Activision Blizzard to justify the new plans.

More Perks For More Money

Ubisoft this week has announced revamped subscriptions, bringing a less-expensive tier on PC and a premium multi-platform plan. Starting with the latter, the company merged Ubisoft+ Multi-Access and PC Access into Ubisoft+ Premium, now costing $18 a month.

It offers access to the premium versions of Ubisoft games, all expansions and monthly rewards and lets you play new games on the day they drop. Some games can be played with early access, too, like Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown(which will be released on January 18th).

Ubisoft+ Premium subscription works across Xbox, PC and Amazon Luna. So, with it’s sync support, you can play a game on one device, pause it and continue the same from another device.

This aside, Ubisoft announced a new PC tier called the Ubisoft+ Classics, which includes access to “popular back-catalogue and live games” for $8 a month. Some titles in this collection include Far Cry 6, Rainbow Six Siege and Watch Dogs: Legion. The company says that the existing PC Access subscribers will not be rolled into the new plan automatically but will continue in the same plan at current pricing until their term ends.

Talking about the new plans, Ubisoft’s head of subscriptions, Philippe Tremblay, says Ubisoft+ has outperformed their expectations in terms of membership numbers. “We’ve seen millions of players since launch and they’ve enjoyed over 600 million hours of play”.

If you think the revamped subscriptions aren’t worth enough, remember that Ubisoft is preparing to add titles from Activision Blizzard – which it purchased from Microsoft. While the Redmond company did it to appease the regulators, Ubisoft is trying to cash in on it by slightly increasing it’s subscription prices.
