War Thunder Gamers Shared Sensitive Military Docs Again

War Thunder players have done it again – for the ninth time this year, they had shared sensitive military documents in the game forum to prove their arguments.

This time, two members had shared the training material of the Norinco VT-4 tank and the manual of the M2A2 Bradley infantry fighting vehicle – in a week’s span. Both were removed by the moderators immediately.

Sharing Sensitive Docs to Win Arguments

War Thunder, the free-to-play MMO military game is once again in the news for temporarily hosting sensitive documents, as it has done frequently. Well, this time, one user posted the training material of the Norinco VT-4 tank on 11th December, while another posted the manual of the M2A2 Bradley infantry fighting vehicle, the following day.

Though the forum moderators have quickly taken these threads down, they seem unable to stop the flow of such sensitive documents on the forum. While both the documents aren’t classified, they contain sensitive information that needs to be protected. On top of it, the M2A2 Bradley manual is export-controlled.

With the latest two incidents, about nine times the forum members of War Thunder have shared such sensitive documents in this year alone. Most incidents revolve around arguments, where people post military documents to prove their points against others or Gaijin Entertainment, the game maker.

Talking about this, Gaijin Entertainment founder Anton Yudintsev said, “We did our part in helping to limit the leak(of the M2A2 Bradley documents”). Yet, since the manual is available on various platforms, they shouldn’t be entirely blamed. “We can do nothing with what’s happening on other platforms”, Yudintsev added.
