iPhone 16 Concept

We are still a few months away from the release of Apple’s iPhone 16 series, which the company typically announces in September each year. However, anticipation for the upcoming iPhone remains high as users speculate about Apple’s next innovations. Multiple leaks, renders and details of the upcoming iPhones continue to surface online at regular intervals, keeping Apple’s enthusiasts engaged and intrigued.

Similar to previous releases, the upcoming iPhone 16 series has seen leaks and rumors circulating online. One significant rumor suggests a notable design change on the rear side of the device, thanks to leaked images of the device’s cases. Typically, third-party accessory makers obtain insights into the device’s design in advance to produce cases ahead of the official release.

Over the past few months, Apple has been testing numerous design changes for the upcoming iPhone 16 series. While previous generations have maintained a consistent design, this time there may be a departure from the norm. Initial rumors suggest that the new iPhone 16 and 16 Plus may resemble the iPhone X from the rear side, albeit with some key differences. The overall design language of the upcoming devices appears quite similar to the iPhone X, which debuted in 2017.

iPhone 16 cases

Earlier speculations hinted at a vertical layout for the dual camera system in the upcoming iPhone 16 and 16 Plus, and leaked images of the cases further support this notion. The leaked images reveal cutouts for the vertical arrangement of the cameras. However, the camera cutout on the cases appears larger compared to the iPhone X, reflecting the increased sensor sizes over the past few years.

Regarding the sensors, the devices feature both wide and ultra-wide sensors. The microphone is positioned alongside the camera sensors, while the flashlight has been relocated outside of the camera module, as indicated by the cutouts on the cases. Currently, the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus sport a diagonal camera module, a design introduced by Apple with the iPhone 13 and 13 Mini.
