Galaxy AI is coming to Samsung Galaxy Note 9 thanks to a custom ROM

Galaxy Note 9

Samsung dropped the support for Samsung Galaxy Note 9 which launched in 2018. Feature-wise, Galaxy Note 9 is the best Note device launched to date despite the fact that Samsung launched two more Note devices after that.

However, if you own a Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and want to test the latest features then there is good news for you. Due to some third-party ROM, Galaxy Note 9 users can try out the latest Samsung features in current Samsung flagship devices. These features also include Galaxy AI which Samsung introduced with the launch of the Galaxy S24 series.

Now, Samsung Galaxy Note 9 or S9 users can use the Galaxy AI features on their devices by installing a custom ROM called Noble ROM. The beauty of Android is customization and third-party ROMs can take the customization to the next level.

With these custom ROMs, users can also use the latest features on their old smartphones. The Noble ROM is not new as it has been around for some time now and thanks to Noble Galaxy AI features are now arriving on Galaxy Note 9 and S9.

This ROM was developed by AlexisXDA and he claims that Galaxy AI features will work on the latest version of the ROM that is going to be released in the coming days. The developer also shared some images on X formerly known as Twitter showing the Galaxy AI feature on the Galaxy Note 9. The new update of Noble ROM with Galaxy AI features will be released in May. The Galaxy AI features coming with Noble ROM include Generative Edit, Live Translate, Interpreter, and Circle to Search.

It is very impressive if these features will work smoothly on older Samsung devices like the Galaxy Note 9 and the S9. These features are not designed for older Samsung devices as on-device AI is not common when launched.

The only thing users need to keep in mind is that they have to install a custom ROM to get the Galaxy AI on their older smartphones. There are chances that these AI features will work perfectly but there may be some bugs as usually found in custom ROMs.
